Once you have gone beyond the initial vegetative growth stage, you plants are primed to explode into the flowering stage. Now that you have thick, stocky vegetative growth from the blue light emitted by metal halide or blue LED grow lights, you need to follow it up with the appropriate amount of red/orange light given off by high pressure sodium grow lights.
