This site began two years ago as a simple site to help you find hydroponic systems and supplies while also giving out advice to indoor growers. Initially, most questions were about the basics . . . tomatoes, herbs, strawberries, you know - basic stuff.

The funny thing is that as the site became more popular, more and more questions started focusing around one particular plant - marijuana.

How Do I Grow Weed Indoors?

Most questions were pretty basic at first . . . where do I get seeds, what should I use for lighting, and similar questions. I new some basics - enough to help people to get started. Then questions got harder and more complex; it didn't take long for my shallow basin of knowledge to be run dry. Not wanting to let down my readers, I began searching for a reliable, trustworthy source of information that was current so as to provide the latest in growing techniques. Anybody can grow dime-bag weed but it takes knowledge and dedication to grow the stickiest top-shelf bud.

How To Grow Weed

MMJ Growing Guide

Pretty much all of the information you need to grow great bud is out there - for free - on the internet. All you have to do is search every cannabis forum, read through all of the beginner threads on seed starting, seedling growth, vegetative growth, flowering, lighting, heating, cooling, ventilation, strains, cloning . . . the list goes on and on.

I tried doing this for a while but found that I was wasting an INSANE amount of time plowing through the garbage to get to the gold. Over the last year alone, I have probably spent several weeks of my life just reading forums and other websites trying to get the information I need to help my readers. But then I realized something . . . time is money. I know it is a bit of a cliche, however, it fits here. I am running a website, not a charity, and wasting time searching for answers for FREE was actually COSTING me much more in the long run.

After searching through local book stores and Amazon for books, I found a few that were decent. But they all had the same flaw - the information wasn't really accessible. What I mean is that every book I read had great information but the organization was so poor that I found myself constantly searching from one chapter to the next in order to find the info I needed right now. After a while, it just felt as if I were digging through forum after forum . . . . wasting more time.

Then I Found Growing Elite Marijuana

It really felt like the difference between night and day. Reading through the MASSIVE 736 page guide seemed daunting at first but the information was so readily available and digestible that it was a breeze to start putting my new-found knowledge into action. I am not going to run you through a huge sales letter to convince you to buy - all you have to do is check out the site and you will not need convincing, you will be wondering how you ever got along without it.

What's In The Book?

Here is a sample of what you will find in Growing Elite Marijuana . . .

  • History and facts about marijuana . . . Page 5
  • What is better - hydroponics or soil . . . Page 18
  • How to choose between Indica, Sativa, Runderalis, or Hybrid strains . . . Page 22
  • Picking the RIGHT indoor seed strain . . . Page 30
  • Best party weed, best medical strains . . . Page 34
  • Choosing a reputable seedbank . . . Page 41
  • Determining plant sex and what to do with hermaphrodites . . . Page 52
  • Lighting systems for indoor growing . . . Page 84
  • Techniques for germinating marijuana seeds . . . Page 129
  • Growing in soil . . . Page 160
  • All about cloning . . . Page 206
  • 100+ pages on growing hydroponic weed . . . Page 265
  • Setting up an indoor grow room . . . Page 340
  • Can you grow outdoors . . . Page 424
  • Advanced training, pruining, and super-cropping techniques . . . Page 460
  • How to know when your girls are ready to harvest . . . Page 535
  • Drying and curing techniques . . . Page 560

. . . And TONS more!

Don't take my word for it, do some research and then come back after you read all of the good reviews about Growing Elite Marijuana. Next time you are hacking up your lungs on some harsh, mediocre, bag weed, remember you could have spent less than the price of 1/8th ounce and be well on your way to growing the best, most dense, stickiest, endless, mind-blowing bud supply you have ever had.

Just so you know, if for whatever reason you don't like the book, just ask Ryan for your money back and you will get it back no problem!

Ryan also gives some pretty cool bonus books when you order . . .

  • Stoner's Cookbook
  • Ultimate Strain Guide
  • Build Your Own Homemade Smoking Devices
  • Ganja Etiquette
  • Security Guide For Marijuana Growers
  • Cannabis Care Manual
  • Quick Start Guide - MP3
  • Deadly Marijuana Growing Mistakes - MP3

Arild –

It is an interesting light and probably works (have not tested it) but it seems to me to be less efficient than red/blue lights . . .

Redrum -

You may get some growth out of your plants but they would not flower well at all because halogen light does not emit much red. It would be a very inefficient way to veg your plants!

Sounds like there could be the beginnings of a nutrient deficiency or just dead leaves that can just be removed – keep an eye on it to see if it moves to other leaves higher on the plant. I would not get any premix – spend the money on a solid hydroponic nutrient and just using that in place of watering on a schedule of feed, water, water, feed, etc . . .

What kind of lights are the 13w and 16w? CFL? I would add in another 50w+ of CFL if that is the case . ..

Stoner420 –

Keep it simple – small one or two plant grow in 1 gallon buckets. I am partial to using LED grow lights but you can do well with CFLs. And get yourself some decent nutrients and know how to use them. Do not bother with hardware store fertilizers like Miracle Grow – get a hydroponic nutrient kit and use it with soil, just ask your hydro shop about it.

yo Hydroman um my plant is doing great now its about 10 inch to a 1ft tall the bottom leaves are kinda dead and look the same size as they were two weeks from now should i cut them so the other plants can get the exrta nutrients? i have a 100w cfl nd another 100w heat light and a fan to keep it cool

David January 8, 2012 at 4:31 pm

Hi
I was wondering if you know any thing about Argo Max LED lights. I have been looking at the 740 watt.
Thanks
Dave

HydroMan January 13, 2012 at 10:51 am

David –

It is produced by Cidly in China – a cheap knockoff and poorly designed copy of the HGL X Lens lights. Also – you would do much better by using multiple smaller lights than a single high-powered light!

I would trim the dead/dying leaves and let the plant concentrate it energy on healthy growing. What do you mean a 100W heat light?

If I had 4 plants in a 3×3 area with 2 90W UFO LED’s made by ProSource, and grew them to 4.5ft tall… how much would you expect each plant to yeild?

A. Kaysir January 20, 2012 at 3:28 pm

I’m trying to start growing on my own. what supplies do i need? I just need to know everything i need, and what the steps are. Please and thank you

HydroMan January 24, 2012 at 11:08 am

A. Kaysir –

If I were to write down everything you need and all the steps . . . it would be like writing a book. How about you check out this one – it is what I use!

HydroMan January 24, 2012 at 11:16 am

Hey Norm –

I have seen a grow where they used 4 of the 90w lights in a 4×4 and vegged some plants to about 4 ft – yield would be about 2-4 oz per plant. Do this with their 180W lights and get 5-8 oz per 6-7 ft tall plant.

ive been trying to grow outside but something keeps eating my plants as soon as they get big, now ive hurd you can spray stuff or place hanburger around the plant and the nitrogen will help it grow and the smell of the bloody hamburger will keep the vegatarians away, but ive never gotten a plant over a foot with good buds on it, id like help if anyone has any comments or anything just write me.

Dave February 7, 2012 at 6:03 pm

how much should I be trimming. I have only cut the bottom branches, but there still doesn’t seem to be much happening and a friend said they should be turning to proper buds at this stage, but they still seem to be in the flowering stage, should I cut more of the proper branches to let the top ones get more growth ?

How much weed can u get from 3 indica tree’s hydroponic
Grow 5 gAllon bucket . Also purple haze hydroponic growing two
5 gallon buckets & one 5 gallon bucket sour

HydroMan August 21, 2013 at 9:39 am

Parrish…

Depends on many factors . . . including lighting, nutrients, environmental conditions, and of course your ability as a grower. So the answer is about 1 oz to 4 lbs :) .

For real though – if you grow these plants to 3-4 feet and have enough light on them, you should be able to crank out 8oz or so per plant in 5 gal buckets.
